Author Topic: Why is racism still relevant.  (Read 5052 times)

Wanna know a really funny racism joke?

What do black people hate the most?

DEATH!

I thought it was an education

Holy stuff, I was expecting this topic to be on fire with people saying stupid crap like 'dumb blm mondayfriend jew'. The BLF is still capable of rational discussion? No way.

I hope 'rational discussion' doesn't mean 'things I agree with'.

i'm pretty sure he's referring to the opposite of "people saying stupid crap like 'dumb blm mondayfriend jew'."

To those that don't know, North Carolina is about as far north as you can go while still being in the 'south'. I think it's kind of funny that people automatically assume anyone from a 'southern' state like mine is a tribal starfish when, in reality, saying 'monday' in public is a really good way to get hit in the face.
As if.  Many people still insist that Maryland is "a southern state," which is absolutely handicapped considering how literally right in the middle it is.  Yet there's an incredibly diverse political spectrum here; everywhere outside of any urban center (which is mainly Baltimore, DC suburbs, etc.) is conservative while everywhere urban is liberal.  Liberal outnumbers the conservative though, but in the conservative areas it's very likely the same but they will still proudly profess that "if Bros just did less crime they wouldn't be shot at" and "killary is evil vote tramp 2016."

Um
You can make the argument of statistics but there are innocent black people who get shot at almost on instinct in some cases (not really the high profile cases you see all over the news, however).

Um

People don't just "do" crime, there's always context to a case and it's not as cut and dry as people make it out to be. The more I've read into this whole issue the deeper and more complex it gets. It's nuts.

also ot: the reason is handicap white parents continue to pound into their children that black people are inherently violent/dull and handicap black parents continue to pound into their children that all white people think they're superior/are tribal and are the ones who start "pigs in a blanket" protests in the middle of the road

so basically the reason racism still exists is because of a lack of intelligence. surprise.

it exists because of clinton news network

"Man killed by officer pointed vaping device, not gun" - an unarmed black man
turns out there's literally an entire .org dedicated to this, so have at it:  http://mappingpoliceviolence.org/unarmed/

It's practically a fact that if it was a white person doing the same thing they'd be told to put their gun down and surrender unless they were opening fire on officers, whereas for a black person they'll just about unload all of their clips immediately.

See: war on drugs +3 strikes rule + prison economy

The legal system has been molded against people of color for the last 100 years and still is to some extent. There are cases of people sitting in jail for up to 3 years for the pettiest of crimes that they probably didn't commit and then being denied the right to vote afterwards or losing their job. There's never been a case of 'there are more black criminals than white' because all data supporting this statement has been concluded from an environment where black people were arrested significantly more.

Imagine if I had two sets of 100 red and 100 blue cups all flipped over. An unspecified amount of cups have a marble underneath. If you were to flip over 50 red cups and 50 blue cups and find that there are more red cups with marbles underneath, you just collected unbiased conclusive data.

If you were to flip over 80 blue cups and 20 red cups and find that there are more blue cups with marbles, you just concluded something possibly entirely false and did it using biased means. This is how the profiling system has been set up & supported for the last 100 or so years
