essentially

"Microaggression is a term coined by psychiatrist and Harvard University professor Chester M. Pierce in 1970 to describe insults and dismissals he regularly witnessed non-black Americans inflict on African Americans."

I doubt this is how it's being used in this article though. Probably just a sassy white girl laying down some passive-agressive remarks to some soft millennials.

anything said to a non-white person by a white person could be a microaggression because of lax defining and overuse
"hello, ma'am" is an example of a microaggression because you're assuming someone's gender
asking everyone "can someone please explain microaggressions to me?" is a microaggression because you're assuming someone wants to be asked a question

Goddammit why does everything get people triggered now? A couple of days ago I overheard my grandma was removed by someone on Facebook by "triggering" her. When will this loving end?
