January 1, 2025Central European ConfederacyFirst, do extensive logistics research. We must know in which ways we are capable and which ways we are not.
The CEC appoints its 12 research labs under the guidance of Dr. Lewis Nelson, a specialist in logistics and ground combat technologies. Dr. Nelson immediately begins work on researching new engagement theories and defensive operations, improving the combat efficiency of the nation's troops. He projects a completion date of April 18, 2025.
Assess landing and launching sites in CEC sovereignty.
The CEC has two shipyards currently available for fielding ships. Their single naval shipyard is Sheppard & Humphries Shipyard, capable of constructing one 7000-ton ship at a time. Their second shipyard, Miah Iron Works, is capable of constructing one 24,000-ton commercial vessel. Both shipyards are currently not fitted for any type of ship in particular, and may take some time to retool once a ship design is presented to them. Due to the lack of a proper government spaceport, ships are launched at the spaceports of private companies. Due to the heavy traffic, launches can be a hassle to schedule, resulting in slower cargo loading and unloading times to ships in orbit.
Current state of research status?
All twelve of the CEC's research labs are currently aiding Dr. Lewis Nelson's ground combat logistics research. The CEC is renown for its outstanding missile technology, but can be compared to a conventional empire in regards to most of everything else. The research facilities under the control of the CEC are state-of-the-art, able to research plenty of emergent technologies in under a year.
