This may not have to do with public opinion. It may be something that will legit get Clinton arrested by the FBI. Theres been speculation that the whole of the Democrat party is extremely corrupt and Assange wants to reveal this at the last second so that the Democrats wont be able to get another candidate out in time.

Again, there's a time-delay to this, and if it could actually get her arrested, why not just release it a week ahead? If he actually had some substantial dirt on her, he wouldn't be handling it this way. He's a pro at leaking documents and he understands how this works.

So the Democrats wont have time to set up another candidate. A large amount of people will just vote for the democrat candidate regardless to keep Annoying Orange out.
