nah, i think that it's probably not going to be that bad either way. the first 100 days is the most important, but i doubt either candidate will have enough approval to claim a mandate for any major policy actions, and i doubt congress is going to be swept like in 2008, so we'll probably be facing gridlock even before the midterm slump
