Wrong. It would be pretty easy. The scripting.... probably not. But I'm pretty sure its possible.

TBH, it is not possible unless you somehow magically get some nice shaders into blockland. there could be other ways of doing it, but they would most likely drop FPS like no tomorrow (I was thinking using a real time DOF thing, but you know how long that takes just to make 1 screen...)

If you can, make the PlayGUI screen slightly transparent and create several of them with offsets of 1-2 pixels up, down, left or right. That would create a "blurred" effect.
