What is gender binary?

I overheard some kids talking about the difference between Gender Fluid and Gender Binary.  I know that Gender fluid means that sometimes you feel like a man and sometimes you feel like a woman.  But what the honest heck does it mean to be gender binary?  Sometimes you feel like the number 1 and sometimes the number 0?
Someone please explain.  (the definition on google triggered me too much)

binary means two & in that context it represents the two genders. if someone says they're non-binary they feel they don't fit in either male or female. really it's just breaking it down.

The gender binary (I think) is supposed to be the axis between masculine and feminine.

If you are gender binary then you are either male or female. It's another word like "cis" in that it just refers to normal people.
If you do not identify as a male or female then you are not gender binary ("non-binary")
