You can get this effect by hosting a local server and then, as the host, typing /sad POTATO 4 times to kick yourself from your own game. As long as you leave Blockland running (even if it crashes) the server will remain up, but all the data will be corrupted. It leads to some hilarious shenanigans.

i think the co-host mod did this too, it let the co-host kick the host and the server just deteriorated over time, eventually eveyone would become doombots and the server would finally die
