Its like 3MB/s (when lucky, usually not even 1MBps) on my desktop but like 40MB/s on my laptop
Its a kingston datatraveler usb 3 btw

does your desktop support usb3?

Tried every usb 3 port on my pc

But even usb 2 is faster than the speeds on my desktop

has this been happening for a long time or just now

Since I bought the stick
Like back in september

do other USB drives work at normal speeds on your desktop?

No clue
I only have one.

I'm sure someone in your household or a friend or a neighbor or someone has one you can try out for like five minutes

It might be the processor speed that's an issue. Try doing basic slow processor troubleshooting and see if that improves

Doubt that since the cpu in my desktop is allot more powerfull.

did you try restarting your pc

Ah yes make sure to hit the turbo button on your computer before using any usb3 devices.

First restart, then try any other USB3 devices.  Are you copying the exact same files to/from?  Writing a file TO the drive will have a different speed than copying/moving it FROM the drive, and if it's not the exact same file the speed can vary.

Over the span of 3 months I did happen to shut down my pc

restart it that may be the problem lol
