what is the advantage of getting a gaming keyboard?
it sounds good, it feels good, different switches are available to your preference, the keys don't stick, it's customizable so it looks good, you play faster paced games better, etc.

what is the advantage of getting a gaming keyboard?
Increase in quality and usefullness whilst in game, backlighting, anti-ghosting so you can press 3+ keys at once an they'll all work, etc

what is the advantage of getting a gaming keyboard?
none if you don't like how they look/feel/sound
a different keyboard won't give you a better advantage like some hp chiclet keyboard will perform almost the same as a $200 mechanical keyboard but it won't have neat switches and keycaps and aesthetics

this is subjective

quality is kind of subjective in this case because if you don't like it it'll just be another piece of plastic
backlighting isn't on every keyboard AND you can get it on non-gaming keyboards
key rollover isn't really a problem on modern keyboards because even stuffty rubber domes can do it

tl;dr: what i'm trying to say is don't get conned into buying an expensive keyboard just because some dudes told you that it was good
i've seen quite a few people spend a lot on a mechanical keyboard and then hate their purchase because they didn't care for the switches

razer blackwidow chroma

what is the advantage of getting a gaming keyboard?
none, gaming is just a marketing term slapped on to a product to excuse ~edgy~ design and lure in #mlgpro wannabes

mechanical keyboards, now, are a different story. they feel way better to type on, more durable, etc

mechanical keyboards are the absolute best, i can't stand laptop keyboards
