Author Topic: Belarus shouldn't exist  (Read 843 times)

Belarus shouldn't exist. it should be part of russia, ukraine, or be called its proper, cooler name, ruthenia. Belarus didn't even have a culture until the USSR stuff it out during their conflicts, as it was part of the polish lithuanian commonwealth and before that, lithuania, and further back kievian rus.

Plus Belarus sounds stupid

belarus exists as a buffer state between russia and europe

so in that regard it's doing a fantastic job

Well, if they haven't voted to give up their sovereignty, presumably they'd like to keep existing.

No

ruthenia is a better name tbh

But they aren't Ruthenian. The closest successors to Ruthenians would be Ukrainians.

pff who cares about history
cool names is all that matters in life

isn't belarus literally "white russia"

Weißrussland should not be called Ruthenia. Its current name is fine.

And no, it's not just a post-soviet cultured stuffhole. It has been under the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth for as long as it's been under Russia.

Furthermore, Ruthenia is not accurate for Ukraine or Belarus. The two have a long history together, though. Very hard to explain briefly because i'm unmotivated.
