Author Topic: best mechanical keyboard switch (FINAL VOTE)  (Read 10406 times)

then why did you attempt to use it as evidence in your argument

because the people that have tried it clearly rate it better than cherry?

might does not make right

20 people vs 1090 people
and to add to that: 20 random people vs 1090 other random people
this is a bunch of forgetin randos who voted on some online poll, who may not even be voting truthfully, accurately, or even correctly, on their choice of switch
might does not make right
irrelevant

okay.

so in other words, their poll is useless even though their website is for mechanical enthusiasts and shoppers

that's not what i said
what i've been trying to say is that their poll is inaccurate in rating how 'good' the two keyswitches are because their sample size is too small to get a conclusive result
and to add on to that there are some people who don't even like the switches in the first place
subjectivity

is it possible to swap switches and keycaps on a razer blackwidow chroma??

i'd like some sort of seethrough thing or something

i can't tell if you're kidding
gateron blues are a cheaper knock-off/replica of cherry blues

I personally can't speak for Gateron, but I do know that every review and comparison I came across on the internet agree that Gateron's key feel is more refined than that of Cherry MX. I'd also tell you that in truth there is no strict correlation between cost and quality, but my wariness of Kailh switches probably disqualifies me from having that right.

what if cherry mx is a knockoff of gateron :O

outemu switch propaganda

i've never tried them but tbhhhhhh the sound like they'd feel better than gaterons

switches probably not, the LED's are conneted to them so unless you're okay with loving up your keyboard lights dont do that

the keycaps are more likely changeable since they easily go on and off, ive pulled off the keycaps to clean the inside before. however im not sure if you'd need a specific shape for them or if any will work

all you have to do is de-solder and solder on the new switches and leds lol

works just fine as long as you know how to solder

don't forget that this is extremely time consuming tho and you have a chance of loving up hard

if you haven't soldered before then dont do it

practice first and get comfortable

just to add to this not everyone has a soldering iron, and the razer chroma is sort of expensive.

murderouscop would be better off just getting a different keyboard than trying to tinker with it
