Um yeah if you're one of the brainless dolts who crowd the center of the map. You're just asking to be killed. I have lasted several hours without dying by finding areas along the coastline and building up a base over time.

I do both. I build a base with my blockhead client and kill a bunch people with my dog client when I get bored of that.

I normally have 2 or 3 bases scattered across the map.
