Author Topic: Amir - Trying to make me click on links to a (likely) Steam scam/phishing site  (Read 7023 times)

Had the same thing happen to me (and the same message) except he unfriended me after I told him that it was a scam.

I re-friend him and he changes his mind about the scam link being legitimate.

Sadly this is what the CSGO community consists of.  It sucks because CSGO isn't that bad.

He might be hacked. Unless he's typically doing it for those 'click for points survey stuff'

he admitted to doing it in the thread

this seems not quite like amir from how i know him. He is a little sketchy but hasn't ever pulled this with me. But I wouldn't be suprised if he pulls this stuff.

I think he thought it was something legitimate at first (and began to spread it without the intent of harm)... this is obvious because no dedicated scammer would do a complete 180 on himself like in the OP.

So I don't know why people are treating him like a spawn of Satan in this thread, I mean its a dumb thing to fall for, but since he didn't know it was an actual scamming site at first means he didn't actually want to harm Planar or anything. And then he went and said sorry to the potential victims (Planar included) so its not really that big of a deal unless you actually clicked it.

search his name in the drama section real quick and feel free to change your mind

Amir has (sort of) seen improvement. He seems cool. By the way, that link is being commonly spread. He may have just made a mistake. Although, from Amir's tempestuous history, I'll just leave this here:

/nosupport

I just hope he isn't the same cunt he used to be.

if you think amir did this accidentally you have brain damage because in order for him to talk about the site\s supposed function he would have had to become familiar enough with it to conclude it to be a scam or lose his account. furthermore the message he sent is obviously not written in his typing style and is very clearly sketch as forget as shown by the immediate imgur link and huge justification for the bullstuff

actually it is written in his typing style so its even worse as he handcrafted it

He's ddos'd my friend before and claims to have a booter while also threatens to boot people consistently
it would be extremely likely that this was just another stuffty attempt to do more slimy stuff
