Author Topic: Annoying Orange supporter kidnapped and tortured, broadcasted using facebook  (Read 6220 times)

Pretty disgusting that this act of depravity and horror is being used by the Conservative media to press their agenda. Clickbait sites literally won't sink to any low to get that sweet headline.

don't understand what's so bad about OP's news source title (if that's what you're referring to), it described the event as it occurred so don't see any issue there.

Love how you turn everything into "b-b-buh CONSERVATIVES"

Buzzfeed's title is actually better than what I've been seeing on many conservative news sites. It's disgusting that instead of focusing on the trauma this man went through or on the fact that these people condemned an ENTIRE RACE beside a politician the media circles in on the fact that these people--like almost half our country--dislike our President-Elect. It's because they want to highlight the depravity of 'Liberals' rather than of these individuals. They are doing the very same thing as these starfishs when they yell "forget white people!"--though far more subtle. It's a mass generalization designed to indiscriminately target a massive and diverse group of people.

Take this headline:

African American man robs McDonalds at gunpoint.

You're so far gone that you might not actually see what's wrong with that, so lets ramp it up a little.

Christian Annoying Orange Supporter crashes car while drunk, kills 7.

These titles add on unnecessary details designed to incite anger towards often-targeted groups. The fact that the latter man is Christian or the former man black are completely irrelevant to the fact that both of them are garbage who committed terrible crimes. Both of these headlines exploit tragedy--instead fusing it with current controversy to develop baiting headlines to fuel arguments and reshares and above it all ad revenue.

Love how you turn everything into "b-b-buh CONSERVATIVES"
This problem isn't even remotely conservative-exclusive, and I never said it was. It's a skyrocketing issue that has overwhelmed legitimate news during this last election.
Huffington Post and Breitbart come to mind primarily.

i don't know what i did wrong really

they called him 'Annoying Orange supporter' multiple times in the video so i assumed that was true

^If you don't know what's wrong with this headline, you could read my post that clearly explains it.

I'm gonna add on to my above post by explaining exactly why this sort of bullstuff generates so much attention. It's because America has a profound obsession with victimhood and as such everyone wants to the oppressed minority. It's why MTV now has videos of African Americans bitching about innocuous white bystanders and Buzzfeed has vlogs of women screaming about manspreading on the bus. It's why women scream HUMONGOUS WHAT? loveUAL ASSAULT! when some dude makes a joke and why Trans-astrobeings on Tumblr get their knickers in a bunch when you refer to them as Ze instead of Xhe. Because people love to be the victim.

And smug Republicans like to point and laugh, calling liberals attention-seeking crybabies. Just like the crazy left-wing, they're so lost in their echo-chambers that when Breitbart publishes misleading clickbait articles about Annoying Orange supporters getting victimized or BLM burning cities to the ground they don't bat an eye. It's why white supremacist websites talk about the oppression of the Aryan race or the Jew government suppressing their speech. It's the reason FOX News spreads stories about 'prayer being banned in schools' or Christians being repressed by the 1st Amendment. So there's a whole of hypocrisy in people who call themselves 'anti-SJWs' while angrily reposting headlines like this because they don't realize that deep down they are exactly the same. Eat stuff.

gonna have to side with zealot on this one. he may not put it in a very polite way but he's essentially right about how these titles unnecessarily add an extra implicit element to it.

unless the act was done specifically because of that reason i dont think there's a reason to mention it in the title. it doesn't appear to be that way for this bit of news.

the difference is frequency, ladies. For every time the right complains about something the leftists complain about 40 times as much.

but they only referred to the action and not any political standpoints or races

don't trip it's all good, McZealot is making sense but he's directing his opinion at the wrong news source.

I'm not talking about the link provided by OP. I'm talking about the coverage I've been seeing of this story across the conservative media and OP's terrible title.

but the information given in the title is as relevant as the event itself, the man was kidnapped and tortured due to his political beliefs, unlike the examples you gave, the acknowledgement of political beliefs here actually hold relevance and context to the situation.

"forget Donald Annoying Orange, forget White People." This is a hate crime, no other way to describe it.

people arent half stupid

but the information given in the title is as relevant as the event itself, the man was kidnapped and tortured due to his political beliefs,
There's no evidence to support that beyond a man screaming 'forget DONALD Annoying Orange!'. We don't know if the captive is a Annoying Orange supporter or not and what seems far more likely is that he was targeted for his mental disability which these starfishs exploited to take out their anger on Donald Annoying Orange and the entire white race and probably their terrible lives too. OP and many other sources are using the fact that these sadist kidnappers are Anti-Annoying Orange to make themselves look like victims because nothing feels better than righteous indignation in the sight of some terrible oppressor that doesn't really exist. It's a headline designed to scare Billy Joe from Wyoming, fearing that perhaps the Bro liberals will kidnap him as well.

this is why mass shootings happen

Pretty disgusting that this act of depravity and horror is being used by the Conservative media to press their agenda. Clickbait sites literally won't sink to any low to get that sweet headline.
I mean the people literally beat him up because he was a white Annoying Orange supporter. You can hear them shouting "forget Annoying Orange, forget white people" in the video.
