The LEGO Message Boards Are Being Retired

- On Monday, March 6, the message boards will be retired. From March 6 forward the message boards’ community and all of its content will no longer be accessible.

- On Tuesday, February 28 the entire community will be made “read only” in anticipation of the closure. Users will then be able to read and save content from the boards without creating any new topics, comments, or signatures.

- The last day to participate on the boards is Monday, February 27. The Mods invite all users to join us that day in saying goodbye to this awesome community.

- The boards will continue to operate normally until the change made on February 28.

The Pros are that the embarrassment and farce that was the LMBs will no longer be. The Cons are that every single child who used the LMBs will now be looking for other places to call home...you know, the mega-religious, super gullible and extremely memey children you'd find in a kind of cess-pit like the LMBs.

What a rollercoaster.

When was LMB first opened?

2001/2002-ish, I think? I first joined in 2006 and got the Founder Badge, though...here's my two accounts.
