Yes, looking at the guy's YouTube channel it seems he's the sort to film himself doing obnoxious things in public and call it a social experiment. It looks like he tried to turn it around into an instance of Islamophobia which is a very lame thing to do for no reason. If this was legitimate it would be troubling, but it's not from what I can tell.
