ya god forbid amazon know what sort of stuff i buy on amazon. truly terrifying

I wouldn't like having a hot mic in my house all the time that recognizes my voice. Maybe im paranoid, I just go through the world thinking that all technology is prone to being insecure to hackers and government agencies and that tech companies could be just low key spying on us all the time these days I keep my webcam covered and try to give out as little geospatial data about myself as possible. Everytime I see a device like this I just see a Telescreen from "1984"

idk what anyone wants from my webcam unless they want to see me having a wank

idk what anyone wants from my webcam unless they want to see me having a wank
yea and no one wants to see you wank to pokemon

people willingly purchase this stuff? sounds like something straight out of a communist's wet dream. they would force it in everyone's home so they can monitor people under the guise of introducing (((smart technology))) to make people's lives more (((streamlined))). yes goy listen to the news that we-- i mean alexa has chosen for you to hear! let alexa take care of the "small" tasks so you can focus on your work! don't forget to buy the new alexa security camera 5 pack! is it really worth almost 180 dollaroos just to do the same thing you could already do on literally any computer or smart phone (even though those have been compromised too)? "always getting smarter," jesus christ could they be any more obvious? one day it'll be your dumb voice controlled radio, one update later and it's transmitting everything you and your family say to the ministry of truth and you're hanged the next day for suggesting to watch a movie on dvd instead of amazon prime.
that's what they want you to think, how can you tell if it isn't listening to you or not? did you take it apart yourself to make sure or do you have faith that big brother amazon would never do something like that for the sake of profit and government gibs me dats? it's "always connected to the cloud," in other words just another computer, how do you know what happens to all that data once it's on someone else's computer? it wouldn't be far fetched to assume that they'll keep a lot of that data to "make alexa smarter," as they would put it (as they turn around to sell the rest), regardless if it was spoken to or not. what if amazon came out with one of those "new features" that is an (((always listening))) mode that can't be turned off (of course implying it isn't already always recording you)? do you think people would put their foot down and say, "no what the forget amazon," or would they deal with it and say, "i have nothing to hide?"
haha
