HeLa cells are forgety.

"Scientists have grown some 20 tons of her cells, and there are almost 11,000 patents involving HeLa cells. Due to mutations, HeLa cell lines are not fully human, and some people consider them to be technically a new species."

This is really neat. Thanks for the information.

the memes are taking physical form

can we make immortal people out of them
like, can we inject them into soldiers and make them fight the baddies with bear hands

if it is a new species we need to call it "meme"

can we make immortal people out of them
like, can we inject them into soldiers and make them fight the baddies with bear hands
don't worry, it's an automatic process by the body

its called cancer

so you know how people say that someone could kill themselves as a cure for their cancer?

what about this? it could stay alive for a while after they die

can we make immortal people out of them
like, can we inject them into soldiers and make them fight the baddies with bear hands
they couldn't be used as a substitute for a human's cells. they've mutated to the point of not having the same number of chromosomes as a human cell. in addition, these cells still have the genome of the woman they came from, Henrietta Lacks.
a human body would either reject these cells, or the cells would multiply so fast they'd kill the person (cancer)

how are these things even fed
