Author Topic: My camera sees black things as purple?  (Read 3086 times)

So in an attempt to remove the infrared filter on my camera to make it night vision, i did 2 forget ups
1: ripped a ribbon cord going to the board that has the gallery, menu, flash, and timer settings on it, so thats useless
2: i ended up removing a DIFFERENT filter because i accidentally scratched it, now anything that is black and fabric, is now seen as purple

Camera                                                                                  Phone

what the forget

test it on your black friends

but it seems the green channel is not showing

the green channel is showing, but the camera's picking up a ton of extra purple light because UV isn't filtered anymore. check out how much brighter the purple pic is

btw op you removed the ultraviolet filter

Set your white balance (or color temperature) to auto
Decrease ISO if that doesnt work
Disable flash

If that doesnt work your sensor is broke and return it

What the forget why would you remove the infrared filter
You twat

If you want a NV camera, buy an NV camera. Dont tamper with other cameras that arent made for it.
I really hope for you its not an expensive as stuff DSLR

EDIT:
Actually its p cool and gives me retrowave vibes but still. Dont forget with the internals of a camera
