New Clan: EotW

Author Topic: New Clan: EotW  (Read 2052 times)

Hello, and welcome to the EotW (Elves of the Woods) clan page. First of all, this is BrickG. Second of all, negative feedback is allowed, yet I hope there is very, very little of it.

      A Brief Description...

Elves of the Woods is a clan focusing on the fine arts of rapier-play (as I call finer, Elven swordplay), bowery, and spearthrowing. As you probably have noticed, the tag is EotW, and if I am stealing someone elses acronym, please, please, please tell me! The clan server will be labeled "EotW Clan HQ" with maybe the add-on, "(Recruiting)". The clan test is a matter of tracking another Elf through the Forest Daytime map. If you are clever enough to figure out how to track him/her, you are accepted (NOTE: If you are caught just copying another, you will be booted.).
To become a Bowmaster, Swordmaster, or Spearmaster, you take an extra test after gaining at least the rank of Elder Member. Seperate tests are given, and upon the winning of the title, you gain the 2nd tag BM (Bowmaster) SM (Swordmaster) or SPM (Spearmaster). You can be a BM and a SM, but only a SPM. I may figure out a 2-character tag so you can be a Spearmaster and other Master.

Rank List... In order of gain

      1. Member
      2. Senior Member
      3. Elder Member
      4. Clan Elder
      5. Senior Elder
      6. Clan Advisor
      7. Clan Cheif
      8. Mastermember
      9. Junior Elf-God
      10. Elf-God
      11. Senior Elf-God

The ranks can be gained and taken away. For example; a Senior Elder is especially rude to a Member. He- or she- would be demoted to Clan Elder or worse, depending on the gauge of slander. If you are the type of person who will take advantage of being unable to be demoted any further after losing rank to Member, don't join this clan! After 2 warning kicks after being demoted to member, then banned for a period from 10 minutes to 7 days.

     Clan Rules and Guidelines

 1. Do not do anything so bad you get demoted over 3 ranks. You will go to jail, directly to jail, you will not pass go, and you will not collect $200.
 2. NO RACISM. Any slander concerning ethical or racial differences will result in an immediate demotion to Member, whether you're a Senior Elf-God or not.
 3. Keep the building on EotW Servers to Tudor-style medieval. Modern builders that decide to infringe on this will be notified and their builds destroyed.
 4. Do not ask for Admin or Super Admin. This query will result in 1 warning kick, and after that, a 10-minute ban.
 5. No spam. No, let me say it less obliquely. Any noobish or lagging builds will have their builders notified and they will be destroyed. I, personally, advise you to ask the server Senior Elf-God before doing such things as adding a 3rd floor to a Gold Hall.

     Building Ranks

    1. Hovel
    2. Shack
    3. Shanty
    4. Cabin
    5. House
    6. Hall
    7. Eating Hall
    8. Kitchen Hall
    9. Gather Hall
    10. Intricate Hall
    11. Gold Hall
    12. Emerald Hall
    13. Diamond Hall

Builders can lose rank just as normal members can. The Builders of EotW are tested for their skill or just generally accepted after at least three self-chosen displays of fine building. They hold the same type of rank as Mastermembers in society.

Why Would I Want to Join?

EotW is a new clan, so I cannot boast we are well-respected. But Elves are trying to make a society within Blockland, and once the clan gets going, we will try to add more and more to it. All Elves can be kicked out of the clan for any reason, but that is why the character of a Senior Elf-God is so scrupolously tested. You may want to join for these reasons...:
You may want a semi-Lord of the Rings enviorment and to be surrounded by RPG'ers.
Who knows, you may be a talented Tudor-style builder waiting to be recognized?
EotW will have a close-knit society, and I pay my respects to Badspot for getting rid of most noobs by gong Retail.
A fairly medieval clan, not many will be lagging without reason.

     Traditions

1.    Elvenwear:
All elves are asked to wear a forest-green tunic, brown pants, a lighter-green Robin Hood hat, and three feathers, and you may wear a knapsack or pack. For Bowmasters, a brown 'leather' quiver is required. This dress is all tradition, but medieval-ish dress is required.
2.    Tools:
All Masters are asked to carry their professions' tools at all times. A bow, spear, or sword is required for BMs,SMs,and SPMs, and a 'rake' (pushbroom) for a Masterfarrmer that will be established after the clan gets going well.
3.    Elf-Names:
When you join the EotW Recruiting-tagged servers, you will see a list of members player names, and a bit to the right from those, their elf-names. Mine, personally, was a self-chosen (Audlaea). You can also get suggestions from a Jr. Elf-God and up. These names are used in Clan Meetings to adress certain Elves. They also may be used as code between EotW members on other servers. Elf names should be something like Raguul, Atristile, and Goranithia, if you get my gist.

     A Note from the Founder...

I hope you will enjoy Elves of the Woodlands Clan. Anything that might have been copied from another clan, I do sorely need notification of. Also, if there is any information you would still like before joining, you may ask me on servers or here. Thank you for reading this Clan Page.

Alright, I might just make a schedule as to when servers will be up. Some may find the times and dates erratic, but that is the way it's going to be until I can make a dedicated, due to my lack of knowledge on how.
EDIT: Ok, time of server up-ness list below. One month calendar will come at a time.

FEBRUARY:        (Super Six-Days will not be canceled, but February 23rd may be changed.)
               23rd, 3:00-4:00 (Testing)
                24th, 1:00-2:00
                26th, 1:00-2:00
                27th, 3:00-4:00
                28th, 11:00-12:00
                29th, 3:00-4:00
                30th, 1:00-2:00

Once we get into March, I will publish Marches calendar.

Sounds like a lot of work to be in this clan. You're telling me every time I join a server i'd have to place a brick and spawn a bow, and walk around with it permanently? Thats quite absurd.

On the topic of the 11 ranks you have - are you even going to have 11 members?

Edit: AND you're only allowed to build in tudor style or have your building demolished? Panda this clan  :cookieMonster:

The pearl is actually a mineraloid, and not a true mineral, since it has an organic background and has far less value than gold.

Question, Ephi-
 Â      Can you read?!
I said ASKED, not REQUIRED. That's why its in TRADITIONS. And the Tudor-style is pretty much what I think of when I think "Medieval building". If you have any other ideas, please tell me, or be quiet, because do YOU hear stories about elves in modern-day accomodations?
On the ranks- No, I don't know. But I thought if we had many ranks, we'd have diversity in society importance. Good enough for you?!

Second of all, negative feedback is allowed

Sorry, I totally misunderstood the statement you made above. See, I thought you said that negative feedback was allowed, but I re-read what you'd written and I was clearly wrong! SORRY!

Speaking of negative, your whole post seems quite negative. Just reading that made me think that i'd probably get kicked out of the clan or have my work destroyed for an incomprehensible number of reasons. You haven't actually focused on anything positive, just "if you do this you will be banned, if you say this you will be removed from the clan, if you swear at X you will be demoted then kicked" and so on.

And Monty- Thanks, I'll change that today. I was trying to think of precious things.  :cookie: for your thoughts.

Lose the attitude

Hey, Colten, congrats on YOUR clan.  :cookieMonster: for the starting. And it's not attitude- (little girl)"It was only a queeessstiioooonnn..."

Isn't Tudor post-Renaissance?

Isn't Tudor post-Renaissance?
Yes, imagine kinights and crap, then think of the style of house.
Hey, Colten, congrats on YOUR clan.  :cookieMonster: for the starting. And it's not attitude- (little girl)"It was only a queeessstiioooonnn..."
Are YOU calling ME a little girl? Also, was that an attempt at sarcasm? (The clan thing)

The Emerald is Aluminium Oxide and is 7.5 - 8.0 on the Moh's hardness scale, whereas the Ruby is also Aluminium Oxide yet is 9.0 on the Moh's hardness scale.

Medieval is considered to be Dark Ages which is pre-Renaissance...  Tudor is more like 17/1800s.
This thread confuses me.

Also the chances of this(or any) clan going anywhere without a dedicated host is pretty much zero.  Expecially with LOLRANKSPAM.  I guess it might serve as a learning experience to the creator.

No, Colten, seriously, good luck on your clan. And I was imitating the VOICE of a little girl.
To Anti-Cop: I don't know how to do a dedi, so...
