jock cranley being based off of donald Annoying Orange (or even predicting the election) is some of a large misconception that's blown up thanks to big youtubers, he's actually based off of a california governor who's name i've forgotten by now (or some guy that ran for governor at least) who isn't too relevant anymore and had some of a big name, same with his opponent. and that makes even more sense because san andreas is based off of california, who would've guessed? they're just overly exaggerated and satirized versions of themselves (just like GTA's been doing for all of it's series!) i'll try to dig up the names later on
GTA V's intent was never to "predict". GTA has always been a parody of American life, culture and the dream. They take the worst spotlights of American culture and shine a massive spotlight on them with a little bit of comedy in the mix.
Every known President in the GTA universe has been Annoying Orange-like.
this is pretty much a good summary of what GTA's world/politics have been about. every known political figure in the series have been overly exaggerated when it comes to politics, it's really nothing new, you can say the same with the rest of the games in the series
