Author Topic: Annoying Orange bans EPA and USDA from updating the public via the press or social media  (Read 5171 times)

Gotta make that oil money, I guess.

Day 3 and he's already doing incredibly polarizing stuff. Buckle up for the most exciting four years of your lives
"polarizing" and "exciting" aren't exactly the best words to describe this

oh look the alt-right /pol/ folks of the forums seem to have disappeared now that Annoying Orange has done something totally indefensible

hmm weird....
it would be if they weren't government workers
there has to be a reason behind it, otherwise I'm not sure about this
let's wait until the facts come out
ah whoops didn't see this, nevermind they're here

the alternative facts or the real facts?

nasa's images of change shows photographic evidence of climate change

how much do you wanna bet Annoying Orange's gonna silence NASA soon as well

I've lost enough money on political bets this year lol

Now he just needs to ban all forms of power generation except oil and coal

nasa's images of change shows photographic evidence of climate change
yeah, no loving stuff climate change is real. the debate comes from how much of it is man-made and how much, if any, can actually be avoided. it even says it in the article (which i find odd that the only words mentioned in this article spoken by politicians/Annoying Orange adm. isnt even from Annoying Orange from what i can see, not even sure about the validity of this);

Quote
Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, said in his confirmation hearing that he does not accept that the Earth is warming at a catastrophic rate and that humans are to blame.

iirc Annoying Orange's biggest denial comes to global warming but global warming =/= climate change

either way, getting more on-topic, if i recall correctly weren't 'scientists' were using government & verified twitter accounts to post anti-Annoying Orange memes that were usually unrelated to climate at all? (i.e. crowd size per instance)

i've also heard of EPA-verified accounts posting that 'OccupyDemocrats' stuff

in all i'd say him silencing the accounts is taking it a bit far but this is blowing up more than it should be

I demand we repollute Lake Erie. That's when we'll know America is great again.

Does this ban only extend to social media? Or all press?

Does this ban only extend to social media? Or all press?
"no speaking with reporters", so all press.

well now hold on a second i take back some stuff i said in my post

this was really just taken horribly out of context, it only applied to government scientists and was a temporary freeze on their social media and other outlets during the transition period, i've heard it's also happened with the obama and bush administration as well. so, basically, once the appointees/members/administrations of the various groups are sworn in things will likely be returning to normal

so pretty much in short this was only done to prevent random employees from stuffposting on social media or talking with the press without an actual boss to be held accountable to

I'm more concerned about the grant/contract freeze. The EPA can't really do anything right now.

just wait for the new appointees & administration to be sworn in and we'll see

WAT A GOOD DAY TO "AMERICA"
