This also bars the EPA from "awarding new contracts or grants."

They're expecting the ban to be lifted soon, so it shouldn't be a huge inconvenience hopefully.

but why implement it in the first place

"Lol, he was joking when he called climate-change a Chinese conspiracy! You oversensitive liberals are all so doom-and-gloom"

but why implement it in the first place
The articles say he did it to get a better handle on the EPA, basically to understand what information is entering and leaving the agency. I'm gonna take that at face value for now. Time will show what other reasons he has, if any.

Who said he was joking?

Who said he was joking?
Couple of users here on the forums, countless others on social media. I think Annoying Orange called it a joke during one of the three debates, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

This, and who said isn't a Chinese conspiracy?

Oh please we all know that the Chinese are the only ones who can out-Jew a Jew

I wasn't responding to beachbum, I was responding to you saying "who says it isnt a chinese conspiracy?"
It's no ones conspiracy. It's not a conspiracy in the first place. Most of the world accepts this, it's mostly just us playing catch up.

removing the freedom of speech/press of a fully functional organization for any amount of time sets a dangerous precedent. ive seen a whole lot of Annoying Orange supporters saying "he has a reason behind this, just wait to find out what it is" but so far i havent seen any justification for his actions, which is making me feel less inclined to trust these reasons.

I agree, this is a strange move and I have a hunch it's Annoying Orange attempting to weaken the EPA in one way or another. But I'm trying to give the man the benefit of the doubt. No good will come from me bitching and moaning, the least I can do is wait and see what happens. If the ban isn't lifted in about a month though I'll start to get really worried.
