The Qu'ran does say that non-muslims will be punished by stones and fire, but the Bible probably says some very similar stuff.
The Quran also orders it's followers to kill people.
the difference is that christianity is practiced in mostly 1st world countries while Islam is practiced in developing countries where there's more resources for terror groups to pop up and take control
Compare the amount of religious terrorism in the middle east to sub saharan africa. They are both stuffholes after all.
Something you probably don't understand is that people have their own interpretations of holy texts.
Theres only so many ways you can interpret "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.", or "The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him."
There are so many different sects of Islam with people who believe different sections of the Qu'ran and discard others.
I thought, as a muslim, that you would actually understand the different loving sects of islam and not talk out of your ass.
"Shia is a branch of Islam which holds that the Islamic prophet Muhammad designated Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor (Imam).[1] Shia Islam primarily contrasts with Sunni Islam, whose adherents believe that Muhammad did not appoint a successor. Instead they consider Abu Bakr (who was appointed Caliph through a Shura, i.e. consensus) to be the correct Caliph.[2]"
Christianity also has its own sects and offshoots that believe their own interpretations. It doesn't mean that the most volatile one is the majority
Mostly to do with the power of the pope and interpretations. Not outright disregarding whats written right in the loving book.
