is KFC not terrible in the UK? here it's absolutely disgusting and nowhere near its glory days
I've never had an issue with the quality of their food here. It's my favourite franchise fast food place.
But, the UK has much less variety in franchise fast food places than the US. It's rare to find a regional franchise, which you might have a lot in the US that only cover a few states.
And obviously nation wide franchises are usually also international and are big businesses that capitalise on profits by costcutting, so in comparison to smaller franchises and local independent places their quality may be lower as they use cheaper ingredients and recipes.
I have no other point of comparison for takeaway fried chicken (there is Nandos here but I've never had them).
My only criticisms of KFC are there awfully designed menus (too much choice but impossible to get exactly what you want), and the fact that they hire the absolute thickest people going.
