So, I was browsing Facebook when something caught my eye. It's since been deleted, but it essentially was from my Ex saying she was in trouble. Since I'd already called off a pub visit the previous day, I felt it was only right I be a decent human for once and check-in with her.
So, context. Long time after we broke up, she got involved with a dude much older than her. Her parents didn't like him, his parents didn't like her. Pleasant. An abortion or two later, they decided the rational thing was to move from NSW (my state) to QLD, about a 14 hour drive depending on where you're going. Up there, he became the breadwinner doing...forget knows what, while she was forced to stay at home and house clean. If I'm remembering the story correctly, I'm pretty sure they were living with his parents too, and so that got her all kinds of stressed as they kept calling her a cunt.
My ex had to come down to Sydney about a week ago (via plane) for some family business and a concert. She went ahead and did all that; originally me and her were going to go to a gaming themed bar/club (Mana Bar, partly owned by the famous Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw of Zero Punctuation fame), but I had to be a bit of a richard and pull out a day before due to a work emergency (forget 'em).
The day after the concert, stuff went down. Apparently her boyfriend DROVE all the way down from Queensland with all of her stuff, waited until she was back at her friend's place, dumped every single item of hers on the lawn, told her they're broken up and then drove back, but not before blocking her on every single method of communication they had established. Nobody is quite sure why he did it, although I wouldn't have a hard time believing he's been cheating on her and wanted to solve that problem.
I'm not really sure what I should do in this situation. Laughing is probably not appropriate, but it does make sense for a chick who broke up with me because I refused to sleep with her every single day and then proceeded to try and date my friend to get back at me (and he was having NONE of it).
