Just plain Debian and GNOME is my personal favorite. Just the right balance of do-it-yourself that makes it non-intrusive but with just the right amount of layman tools that I don't need to do an internet search each time I want to use a printer or mount a drive.

i use it since more than 15 years and i never got an issue
i use it in every server i owe or gaming computer

I dual-boot Arch and Windows 10. My Fstab is configured to use ntfs-3g for my Windows partitions. I try to use Cmake for my projects. I'd rather use Unix-style OS than Windows but the application ecosystem on Unix systems is lacking some polished gems like Photoshop.

When PCI-E passthrough becomes a bit more a thing, I could attempt to run Photoshop in a VM again. I've already tried it and did decently well but the performance is not there right now.

I also have a HP microserver that uses Ubuntu Server LTS. It runs some file servers, a web server and arpwatch.

I use Arch on personal devices and Debian on servers.
Also Ubuntu in a VM because my job requires it sometimes.

i let my computer on overnight to finish a download for gentoo to get the new desktop working
it froze
i had to pwoer sht it down
and apparently because that hapened my disk got corrupted
and i dont have any other computers to burn a new gento oto my flash drive

This is why I keep a spare Arch usb stick around. If all else fails, I still have something to boot from to fix things. I've even repaired non-booting Windows installs like this.

linux is a great distrobution. I love it as an extension to windows and it really adds flavor to my operating system. Did you guys find out the new sudo command they just added? soupo apt-get install spankbang-embedder
spankbang is my favorite research site. heh.
i use ubuntu, i'd say its pretty good. i removed the grapics driber because i didnt want that around, thought it was useless. :^(

i managed to get linux running on a vm and got steam and half life two installed
is it just a vm thing that hl2 runs like stuff?
