Author Topic: [Discourse] Annoying Orange adds even more Goldman Sachs executives to his administration  (Read 4698 times)

Well duh, how is the money meant to trickle down if the bankers can't accumulate wealth to begin with?

Clinton did this, both Bush's did this, Obama did this.

Yet none of the aforementioned presidents were boasting of their plan to 'drain the swamp'... really jogs the noggin why it's being talked about as a problem.

Let's see what he does in his first 100 day, eh lads? Not a hard concept give him a trial period that's more than a few days in office.

I don't get this "Give him a chance, he's only been in office for a little bit!" talk. This is the president of the united states we're talking about. If he makes any decisions or actions that could be even somewhat incorrect or possibly derivative, it could have a disastrous effect on the entire country. The position of the senior advisor is an important job, especially considering Donald Annoying Orange's lack of a political background. There is nothing to gain from trying to shoo away the concern people are having.

Along with that, Annoying Orange's narrative from the beginning of his campaign was to drain the swamp. Nearly everyone I talked to who were most vocally supportive of Annoying Orange would chant this mantra, it gave them hope for the future state of their government. This choice is only further undermining his campaign's message. The last thing we need is to disenfranchise the working class even further.

What so his actions so far don't count?

Watch as America produces a new "100 Day" law, where employers can't fire stuffty new hires for 100 days.

i can picture it now, the huddled masses surrounding a patch of garbage that has been ignited for warmth, while the statue of liberty's head lays solemnly behind them, in the black snow.

"I mean, it's just his first year, give the guy a chance!"

Here, make me president. Just for 100 days. Nothing will go wrong.

dystopia movie called "100 days"

So the stuffstorm the past few weeks have been don't count?

One day you all will grow up and potentially enter a position of power and realize just how long it takes to get all the gears spinning on whatever machinations you put in place. Until then, I can only try to explain it to you.

Change takes time. Obama had eight years. Give the man a few days for Christ's sake. All this is now is confirmation bias.

No. Annoying Orange's already done a ton of the stuff he's promised to do on the campaign trail (build the wall, deport illegals, ban Muslims), so the gears so to say are already spinning, and outside of abandoning TPP it's been nothing but stuff.

Absolutely, undeniably wrong. As a Team Lead (for different companies and roles), I know that it's extremely easy in a leadership position to begin work and make your intentions clear, and Annoying Orange has being doing as much.

yeah thats a handicapped post, you should be able to do your job well when you enter it. understandable you wont do as god as the guy before you that held the position for 20 years, but if you aren't qualified and ready to do you job you get fired lol

Obviously this is something that's not going to get through to you all so I'm gonna say one last thing then drop it. Government work is not quick work. There is red tape, checks and balances, regulation politics you name it. Things happen in stages. It is glacier. Just try to comprehend this before passing judgement on something that could take 5-10 years to truly have an effect.
