The difference is that Bernie's arguments could actually convince someone undecided on this issue, versus Ted Cruz who did nothing to ease the tension of those who'd be the first to lose health insurance if Obamacare is repealed. I didn't hear ONCE a plan to replace Obamacare after repeal from Cruz, instead doing the same thing he's done since the 2013 government shutdown that he used to fuel his presidential campaign, which is bash Obamacare.
That's the fundamental difference between Sanders and Cruz. Sanders has been able to convince a large swath of people to take on even the mildest of social democratic reformism, whereas Cruz remains universally disliked because of his inability to talk to people like normal people. He's fooled some people like you with good manners and clean dialogue to appear "intelligent", but he's nothing more than a political opportunist.
You clearly went into this thinking Ted Cruz was a scumbag and a lying goblin and Bernie Sanders was a saint. There's no other reasoning behind this blatant disregard for what was said.
Cruz outlined
about three or four times his plan from replacement; eliminating restrictions across state lines and removing extreme limiting factors the FDA uses on drugs to drive down both their costs, making them easily affordable. His attack on the audience ("congratulations on your struggle with ...") was a slip-up, and he at least tried to be relatable.
Meanwhile, Sanders said absolutely nothing new that anyone who knew him well enough could tell, highlighted
NO plan for replacement, made several emotional pleas and went off several emotional tangents about the top 1% and healthcare being a right (it isn't), and he vilified those who directly asked him questions; he grilled the lady who was a small time business owner over her inability to expand because of Obamacare, repeatedly asking her, "what happens if your workers get sick?" How the forget do you answer that without making you look like a richard? He set her up for failure just because she couldn't financially handle both her workers and their healthcare (she, in fact, couldn't afford healthcare herself) and because she also wanted to expand her SMALL BUSINESS (NOT A TOP 1% COMPANY LIKE BERNIE LIKES TO JACK OFF ABOUT), which is a natural thing you'd want to do.
Cruz won, by every standard, and I'm confident that you'll see the other polls signify that.
