LAN game player restrictions

Hey fellow Blocklanders, quick question about playing BL over LAN. When me and some friends play BL over LAN it seems that everyone has automatic equal rights when it comes to building and destroying other peoples bricks. There is no way to adjust trust that I have found over LAN, everyone can destroy anybody else's bricks which can get really annoying. So, I was wondering if theres a way to adjust this just like on an online server; I would think there is a way but I have yet to find it. If anyone else has noticed this or knows a way to fix lemme know. ;)

Assuming you're actually playing on a LAN: If someone destroys your stuff, walk over and punch them.  Problem solved.

Badspot's got the right idea going.

I'm sure it's possible to somehow rewrite the brick deleting function to only work with whoever placed it.

that seem to be a nice way to deal with this but i can't do that to my little sister, i kick her everytime she messes up my projects (from server)
is there any way to prevent the player from atleast painting your build?

I'm guessing you're all using the same key, in which case you're all technically the same person. So it assumes you trust yourself. I'm afraid this is the price you pay for not buying more keys, but I understand your situation, I was in it myself for a few weeks.

I've attached a little script below that should make it so that you will have Build Trust only with everyone in your LAN server. So they'll only be able to wrench and build on your bricks, as well as ride your vehicles. They won't be able to destroy/paint etc.

Just drop this in Blockland/Add-Ons/ and enable it in the Add-Ons window before you start the server.

Sorry, made a mistake:

As much as I would love to punch my little bro in the face sometimes, I think I'll stick to using Ephialtes's script which is awesome btw, thank you very much Ephialtes :)  :cookie:

there seems to be a problem, as soon as  i hosted a LAN from one computer, i joined in by another, save what i had on computer 1, start a single on computer 2, and i get this. it also counts for saves that are old like TheGeeks "Red Road" i took a pic of.

Sorry, I just figured out you can't really do this anyway without some fat mods, So scrap the script I guess.

well, the only solution i have is that if my sister messes up something from my build, il kick her for a hour (which to her really sucks)

You can just make her build at the other end of the bedroom, and put a huge wall between you and her, and not let her have a wand or something.
