Here's the thing about religion, Christianity, etc. In the end, it's all about what you personally choose to believe and act upon, as far as how you live your life and interaction with other people goes at least. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "orthodox Christianity", but I'm going to assume you mean someone who follows the Bible and its teachings. Therefore, someone who follows the Bible in its proper context (important word there, btw) will understand your position and accept you regardless, even if they necessarily don't agree with you on everything.

See, I'm a Christian. I feel like often times we get a bad rep (although not necessarily without reason; but that's a different matter). However, even as a Christian, I don't go around Bible-thumping and judging people. I don't hate on the LGBTQ+ movement in any way - that sort of thing only hurts people. I don't necessarily agree with every lifestyle choice people make, but that goes for everyone (even a lot of Christians), and hey, it's not my place to impose on your life. Disagreement on something should never stand in the way of showing kindness toward someone. I will still be your friend. I will still love and support you as a human being. I am friends with a bunch of people who are gay, bi, etc. People who let "religion" get in the way of that tend to be the problematic ones.

Now, I can't vouch for other people. Plenty claim to be Christians and then hate on people. It saddens me on many levels that such things happen, so if they do happen to you, I'm truly sorry. If you want to talk more about this stuff or if you are experiencing problems, PM me or something. :)
