Blockland 10th Anniversary Countdown Server (ONLINE @ 6PM)

I've already shared this idea in the countdown thread, however I'm posting a separate thread so people notice what I'd like to do to celebrate 10 years of the glorious game known as Blockland, and maybe we can actually get work done on it, with maybe even some development discussion in this thread.

the whole idea is that the party will take place within the bedroom static map, as the maps were really a big thing way back when. the server will have a countdown clock, counting until the date that the retail game was released, and there'll be a stuffton of shows and stuff. like new years 2017, its going to be full of events that players can do, ranging from old little games to new stuff. items will include really old stuff from way back when in the rtb days, to modern-day add-ons. the whole goal of the party is to not only celebrate the game's rich past, but to celebrate the game's current state and it's future.

I'd really like to see this idea happen, and I believe a lot of you would as well. Let's make this one good party!

noedit: is anyone here willing to help out working on this project? specifically looking for people who are good builders and eventers
i may actually be willing to work on it myself, and i may host the development server / the server itself unless we get someone else to host which may not happen

also, i'd like some suggestions for add-ons to use on the server. specifically looking for a combination of old and new add-ons. this may include bricks, tools, weapons, you name it

BL_Browser will be used for the countdown, so please get that if you wish to see it live on server!
It'll just be The Bedroom save with a couple few things, just gonna keep it simple.

i'm wondering if it's possible to do cross-server linking with like fake portals, a-la littlebigplanet 2, or, alternatively, team fortress 2 (its "Press F3 to connect" whenever you use one of the sourcemod server commands)
ex. taking one portal will lead you from a hub to an old gamemode server, and in another area on that server you can return or go to another one

it'd be pretty cool but i feel like it's not possible :(

A friend of mine has a lot of old addon including the Bedroom V1 and V2 static maps and asteroids. I might still have them as well, but I'm not sure.

I'd love to help out with this as much as I can. :)
If I come up with more ideas I'll let you know.

bad idea, static maps reacts really badly with projectiles, players, bricks and vehicles

...it shouldnt? it only reacts badly if the collision map for the static shapes is bad? did something go badly with your christmas giftbuilding server?

it does cause ghosting problems though if you have a lot of them/bricks appearing/disappearing at once though, and does have slightly more load on the server than bricks do. but i've been in a server with 12 other people on staticshape bedroom and it should be fine.

I had huge lagging issues with projectiles and vehicles especially

i mean you can use the brick bedroom if the static one causes a ton of issues
