Author Topic: TSA leaves security lane open at JFK, 11 get through, 3 set off detectors  (Read 4365 times)

¿what if we just closed all borders that way we'll assure nothing can get in or out?

so one incident makes them extremely useless

how about we just leave it entirely open and let any terrorist get through
I'm OK with leaving it open. I was around for 9/11, and highly doubt the TSA would do more than be a minor annoyance.

it was much safer in the old days when there was no tsa. all these hijackings happen because they get stressed out by the tsa,

9/11 was literally the first time security really started to ramp up. Before then you could carry a meat cleaver onto the plane and they wouldnt even blink

Boarding a plane also took like 20 minutes back then. Now you gotta go through security for an hour

Now you gotta go through security for an hour

i feel like you're exaggerating this because it never took that long for me

it helps when you're white

3,391 sounds like a lot of guns when you disregard the other potential 90% that are getting through
that's still a lot. it could be a lot better, yeah, but that's still a lot of good they do

It just depends on a lot of factors like how busy the airports in your area are and the season. I live in Seattle, and I fly very frequently -- more often than not, I'm in line for 45 minutes to an hour.

What the forget, you were 6 or 7, how would that hold any weight to your opinion?

i normally fly lax to jfk, and on good days the line takes about 40 minutes. On bad days it can last longer than an hour

Easier said than done.

the obvious solution for the 3 was to remove the detectors. dummies.

nearly everyone sets off the detectors. thats bullstuff like cellphones and coins.
You're supposed to put those in the plastic tub, not walk through with them in your pocket.

I'm just jealous they got through without taking their shoes off.
