id really like to learn how to code torque script.  Could someone teach me or send me in the right direction?

There's a gamemode maker addon.
Let's you create gamemodes with the addons you have.

I suggest grabbing one of the gamemodes from the gamemodes section and try to do some edits to it. I started off from doing a basic CityRPG edit and also some changes to the disease gamemode.
