Author Topic: Apparently I'm homophobic  (Read 14478 times)

Kind of weird for that person to come up to you and ask for an opinion they couldn't deal with.
On the other hand you think it's disturbing for two people to kiss.
Everyone in this situation needs to grow up.
You know what I absoloutley agree with you. I should have not used the word "Disturbing" and instead should have said I don't care and that people can do what they want. As for the girl though she is a bigot and if she can't deal with people's opinions she can go to North Korea where opinions don't exist

nonono that's not what i'm asking. see my last post.
I don't see what your point is

Also that girl that started crying reminds me why I have a hard time relating to LGBT people unless they're already adults. Thin-skinned as forget, but seem to be able to dish anything endlessly against erryone else
You know i've always been perplexed by this whole LGTBSJW business. I live in NY and go to a pretty liberal-ass school, but we're all super chill and don't get any of those stereotypical landwhale toddlers crying about rights and accusing people of being national socialists. In fact, there are a couple people in our classes who are super conservative and religious who sometimes express their opinions about gay rights and transgender issues, and nobody ever freaks out. In fact, we all treat each other like family and stuff.

Maybe those snowflake SJWs are more of an anomaly in these parts

This is kinda hypocritical. Despite the fact that she disagrees with you and your opinion, you seem intent on disagreeing with hers as well. The solution to combatting someone who can't handle your opinions is not refusing to handle theirs, that just polarizes the two

you can't fight hate with hate.

seeing two guys kiss is disturbing every straight male finds it disturbing if that means were all family men who really gives a forget
lol no, just look away. What adult is grossed out by kissing.

Im bi and seeing two guys / girls kiss is still awkward due to the Taboo-ness / how uncommon it is to see

no this is a specific thing that's confused me for a while. shouldn't you base your religion on your beliefs and not the other way around?
i understand where your going with this. the problem is that you cant just pick a religion like some dating site where you take all of your traits and get matched with a partner of similar qualities. that would basically contradict religion itself.

Same here.  Broward county is very liberal and no one gives a single forget about SJW's or politics.  The only SJW thing in my life is my English class and that is a topic on it's own.  We don't even have "safe spaces" or whatever those colleges have.

ya know, this type of stuff disappears once you've seen into the abyss known as the internet....
as it happened, the abyss stared back into me a bit further than most...

theirs a difference if two males from the OPPOSITE love kisses its gross and makes me want to throw up HOWEVER if they want to do that that is there choice I dont hate gays i just dont like to see it

right, let me re-word on what I am trying to say. By saying I don't care about it I don't really want to hear it, if she said her opinion niceley instead of calling me a "Stupid loving prick" then I would have apologized for using the word in the first place and then I would have told her "anyone can do whatever they want with their lives but don't shove it in my face or anything like that" guess you could say I am a bit homophobic but not an extremist. It's a bit difficult to explain I know, and I see how I am a bit hypocritical

I'm talking about LGBT people who aren't necessarily comfortable with themselves yet and are vulnerable to peer pressure. The kinda people who go out seeking discourse like this to feel validated or accepted. It's not specific to them either, it's just a kid thing.

I have to agree. I've seen some pretty awful stuff in my time. If people kissing bothers you, you must be pretty loving innocent lmfao

one of the interesting perks of being straight is not being grossed out by gay stuff. when you see gay stuff and you feel uncomfortable, it's a sign of loveual distress that probably means you're in denial about your loveual preferences or you're aloveual.

yeah that makes sense, it definitely occurs in a lot of teens and college students

but why be part of a religion that contradicts your own beliefs? would you even want to get into that heaven? it'd be like a stay for eternity at an opinionated relative's house
i dunno. i just feel like i'd rather take a chance on my own beliefs being correct than conforming to others

no it isn't youre just a pusillanimous individual apparently

Or it means you simply dont like to see it because it makes you feel awkward / something else.
