I feel like that's a loaded question. You've gotta prove that Clinton did that before asking something like that.

Well she said Benghazi was because of a video even though it wasn't

Does it really constitute a lie if the causes of the raid weren't even clear at that point? She mentioned the mohammed video to the survivors and families before they figured out what happened.

Operating off of inconclusive information is one thing, but if she waited until they knew the whole story, you guys would crucify her for 'not speaking with the families' fast enough.

They do though?
...which is the way it is, which is why i'm confused that people complain about that while supporting the college

too far
It undoubtedly needs reform--namely the concept of 'electors' needs to go and revert to the majority vote of the congressional districts. As it stands now 280 men could single-handedly overthrow democracy and name Jeb Bush president and it would be completely legal. However it exists to give representation to the narrow minority. If the 52% always win over the 48%, then those 48% never have a say in the government. If we give them a light boost via the college, it will essentially dissolve to 50/50 where they win on equal terms. 48% beating out the 52% wouldn't be fair if it only happened once, but since we hold a new election every 4 years, it tends to equal out.

I would prefer ranked voting (so third parties would be viable) far more than an abolition of the college.

But iirc there's like 12 states that make it illegal to change your vote, but it's just a fine

I don't get why it needs to be split up at all. every vote can just count as one vote. maybe the electoral college made it easier when you had to take horses to get everyone's vote counted, but we've got the internet and stuff now. it seems completely pointless

Because very few countries are as divided as America. We're huge and essentially have 2 different culture in the north and the south. The South kinda wanted to be independent but since that didn't work out having a system that grants them equal privilege to the majority group of the north despite their minority status is a better form of representation than simply repressing them.

anybody remember 2012? where we completely ignored the election lmao
