Author Topic: King Tøny's new infatuation with endlessly harping on the Switch  (Read 68153 times)

the sequel to the fallout 4 thread, and he's being equally as annoying

Ps4 had more games than Wii u did in about a couple months and Wii u basically had a year headstart.

Now we have this new system which starts off with less games than wii u. About the same graphics as Wii u. No backwards capability. Also incredibly far and late to the console war. It would have to produce about 10x the amount of games a year to catch up to generate interest.

Let's not to mention fans are already alienated and wary of buying the switch after the Wii u failed.
It has everything to do with the Wii u.

Nintendo is forgeted.

They made a new console because Wii u failed and now they are too late to the party with the console war.

Wii u owners are switching over to ps4 or Xbox because they don't trust Nintendo.
The switch is cursed because of a failed product.  It was created only because wii u died.

Now people are proceeding with caution with the switch. This is bad.

Even fanboys are switching over to PS4 or xbox.
The Nintendo Switch also doesn't even play Wii-U discs.

So it's a loving stab in the balls to anyone who bought and supported a wii-U

Yeah the PS4 can't play PS3 discs but the difference is the PS3 is still in production and still has official support from Sony. Plus they usually offer cross-play support.

Quote from: Nintendo
forget you Wii-U owners, your console is dead. We dropped support and you can't even play wii-u games on the switch.
It still doesn't meet next gen hardware
I'm calling it now. This will be Nintendo's last console.

Wii only existed because of soccer moms and gimmicks.

Wii-U was a "next gen" console that couldn't meet the standard hardware and failed.

Nintendo Switch uses the same PS4 gimmick with the vita and still doesn't meet standard hardware.

First party IPs only get you so far. No one would be buying this crap if it weren't for Legend of Zelda #9,856 or Mario Party 8,323.

Eventually people get sick of over hashed products.
Feel free to mark this date in your bookmarks and calendars. I'm giving nintendo about 2-3 years. If I'm right you people owe me.
You're going to spend 300 dollars on a nintendo console for their indie line-up?

PC and PS4 are actually probably the only 2 consoles with the best indie line-up.

Nintendo's "indie line-up" isn't going to save Nintendo. No one buys nintendo consoles for the indie games, this was proven considering how indie games sold the poorest on all nintendo consoles compared to sales on microsoft, playstation, steam, etc.

The only people that buy nintendo consoles are soccer moms and people who just really want to play the next legend of zelda or mario game.
Wrong.

From a business stand point the switch isn't going to get a lot of support after the wii-u failed.

Game developers are afraid to develop for it and buyers are afraid to buy the switch.

and anyone tries to drive the point to something else, he jumps right in and does this right again. there are plenty of other examples i didn't bother quoting here. i'm not even quoting all the mentions of "stop replying to tony" or "he's a troll", because they don't really do anything at all. but there's quite a lot of them.

this is a manchild who spouts the same garbage over and over again as if his information and opinions are basically gospel, and when corrected and informed of things, he still doesn't care and repeats everything like a broken record. "the switch will die", "it's not cost efficient", "forget nintendo". over, and over again, in varying ways.

it's getting annoying when anyone someone wants to try to discuss something else he dives in and encourages people to take the bait (myself included :v).

The switch has less games on launch than PS3. Costs more than a PS4 Terrible memory and inferior hardware that barely matches the PS3.

I wouldn't be directly comparing hardware stats between a hybrid portable and a strictly home console. Makes about as much sense as comparing a Vita to the XBox One.

The vita and shield make the home console portable.

if you want a home console portable just buy a mobile home

The vita and shield make the home console portable.

now correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think PS4s or computers can just stay on when you're out and about, or if you're using it at a cafe or school or something

That's not how the shield works, it's works pretty much the same as how the switch does, Nintendo just took the idea and "streamlined" it

the switch uses the same/similar processor as the shield

i was mainly referring to how with some nvidia video cards you can stream your game to the switch.

i know it can play some games like halflife 2 and such

noedit: why the forget did i say switch

The switch is not something new and it is trying to compete in an over saturated market.

There is a reason the wii-u failed in the first place.

"vita"
"home console"
I find that very hard to believe honestly

Yeah because Nintendo thought the casual market was still there and focused on that, when they all left to get mobile phones

So the switch isn't casual?

So the switch isn't casual?

In some aspects, yes, but there's Skyrim, BOTW and such.

Skyrim is pretty casual.

It has been out since 2011 and it if hasn't been played to death normally it already has been played to death with mods.

No one is going to buy a 2011 year old game to play it with even lowered graphics and no mod support.

I don't know why people claim Skyrim is the savior to the switch.
