What does the "Mercenary" bot team do?

I want to know what the mercenary bot team does, it may be useful in some of my (crappy) TDMs.

It's a death match team pretty sure. They kill anyone.

I think the "enemy" team is what makes them kill anyone.
The mercenary bots shot me, so it might be a fancier way of the "enemy" bot team.

Mercenary kills anyone, as in their own teammates as well.
