Author Topic: Sony vegas renders videos with lag  (Read 690 times)

I don't know if this is me but one of my recent videos here have been rendered by Vegas pro 13 but when I uploaded it to youtube the video is now laggy even in 1080p quality. I started to see what was causing this, in vegas pro for one of my projects the preview is set to "Preview full" the video is good, it is high quality with no issues. I then put it up to "Good full" the video box is now lagging. Setting it to "Best full" it get's even laggier like a low end trying to run Far cry 3 on high. Why is this happening? is there anyway to fix this? please help

it's probably just your computer having issues with the playback, esp. in the vegas preview box. i don't really see any weird choppiness in the video. the preview box is rendering the video in real time, and that can take a lot of horsepower which you probably just don't have.

try disabling resample on your video clips

where can I do this?

Was the video smooth? no lag at all?

where can I do this?
right click on your video clips -> switches -> disable resample

right click on your video clips -> switches -> disable resample

hold ctrl on all your video clips before doing this and you can do all the clips at the same time.

I disabled resample and it's still laggy. Also I noticed one of the issues why it's lagging is because I'm playing blockland borderless but this should not make the video laggy at all because I recorded it at 60 fps. Vegas is doing something wrong here

yeah, seems to be fine.

vegas isn't doing anything wrong. when you set the preview to a high quality settings, you're rendering out a high-quality video to view it in real-time, and your computer is probably just having trouble keeping up. high-resolution video rendering is a resource-intensive task, and it's completely normal for hardware to struggle rendering it as fast as it can be viewed. just set the preview to a lower quality unless you need it to be higher; it has no effect on the final rendered video, that's dependent on your export settings.
