Author Topic: [NEWS] Brock Turner due for release from jail, served 3 of 6 month sentence  (Read 5280 times)

What's easier: going to jail for 3 months and having your life ruined, or going to jail for 30 years and having your life ruined

Both have the exact same outcome so what are you trying to stuff on here

within 3 months you have a much, much higher chance of being forgeted from outside sources than you do spending 30 years in prison
a lot more people will know about your actions 3 months forward than 30 years

worth noting that brian banks, who was later found innocent, received 5 years in jail for the same loveual assault charges as turner. the only difference was that he was african american

This has nothing to do with skin colour monday. You can thank commiefornia laws for this

nobody forgetin knows about any random guy who was put away for 30 years for diddling his sister. everybody knows about brock turner. he will never be able to do ANYTHING ever again for the rest of his life.

hmmmmmm, maybe the fact that spending 30 years in prison is psychologically damaging compared to 3 months

What are you even going for at this point

i'm surrounded by people who think that going to jail for 3 months and being publicly shunned is just as bad as going to jail for 30 years and being publicly shunned

jail for 30 years and being publicly shunned
who would remember your actions and shun you from a 30 year old news story / after 30 years of no coverage

theres no point to this thread. everybody is pissed about him getting off easy, you just want to make it about race. so yeah, forget the girl whos emotionally scarred forever and has to live knowing her rapist is out in the public, but what about this Black Guy Who Doeddsn't Have A Rich Dad To Influence His Sentence.

he was let off easy because of connections, not because of his race. don't be tribal

Red spy and insert is this really the hill you want to die on?

mocking makes your points look weaker and you look like an idiot

Can't believe people are seriously arguing the level of punishment of 3 months vs. 30 years is the same. If prison is about rehabilitation (which it's supposed to be) then all this is teaching is that if you have enough influence you can get away with just three months of jailtime for raping someone. This is not an example of the justice system working how it should.

At least he'll probably never swim competitively again. loving rapist scum.

I'll take this into consideration the next time I want to look like an idiot on an online lego forum
