humans don't have a single organ in their body that aids in carnivorous diet. name one and i'll change my mind

we're born herbivores but act as omnivores. it's really that simple and indisputable

we can eat meat and vegetables, and eating both is clearly beneficial for us. however, we and our ancestors were born herbivores, not omnivores. if our ancestors didn't eat meat, we probably wouldn't have advanced as a species,
...
at this point, humans can maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle as both omnivore and herbivore, but not carnivore.

you literally just described humans evolving into an omnivorous species in order to survive and advance

The human mind, this aids in carnivorous diets as we can use it to track and kill animals.

biologically, we haven't evolved into omnivores. as a society, we have. either way both diets have their pros and cons

that's purely psychological. i'm talking anatomical

sorry phanto but i couldn't survive a day without steak

i mean, apes too have better minds by far compared to other animals. at least, from what we can tell. still they're herbivores. its not a trait/organ specifically for eating meat.

i think phanto is trying to argue that evolutionarily we came from vegetarian organisms, which is why vegetarian diets suit us better. the development of carnivorous qualities probably just came in handy with combat and when eating meats.

though tbh i know practically nothing about this, im just guesstimating from what little i know about evolution and how it has worked in general.

Conan is proof that we are carnivores, he eats children he abducts and hides in his basement.

youre all wrong, humans are cannibalistic by nature

think about it. what else has the perfect amount of nutrients for a human, than another human?

nothing. exactly.

That explains why Conan is such a lovey beast

Well, I don't really care if you eat meat from a dying animal or if you eat meat that you've already paid for because at that point there's no choice. I'm not even massively opposed to hunting since it's a tiny dent on the animal population. I don't eat or buy meat because of disgusting and cruel conditions that tens or even hundreds of billions of creatures are subjected to every year. Optimally we would pass serious regulation to require these animals to be given better rights before eventually shutting down processed slaughter altogether. If you wanted meat you could go hunt it or eat one of the many replacement foods with identical nutritional value--however I'm not sure if you could safely digest meat with a 99% vegetarian diet because as someone with 100% veggie I certainly can't. I honestly believe that meat processing today is worse than slavery was in the US in the early 1800s--there are hundreds of animals for every slave and while both are treated horribly the animals live shorter lives and endure what is basically torture until they are killed to be eaten. I'd recommend anyone watch 'Earthlings' or 'Meet Your Meat' to see just how bad the conditions are. The latter comes from PETA and while they are a terrible organization the documentary isn't compromised by a material vision. Anyone who believes in basic rights should really try to wean themselves off meat and try to exclusively buy humane dairy.
