Author Topic: a thought on vegetarianism  (Read 12232 times)

I don't think phanto knows what ominvore means, or has any clue what he's talking about. humans are not herbivores only-- we can happily digest meat AND non meat products, we evolved to do it for a reason.

"humans evolved to eat meat so they're actually herbivores" is the stupidest reasoning i've ever heard

gotta eat some of my (((culturally-oriented meat)))

someone should rip off tony's hand, then he'll have to decide between jacking off or trolling

He'd choose trolling since is his richard is probably broken

What does this even mean?
chickens being kept in poor conditions to produce eggs and meat? a lot of vegetarians still eat eggs anyways (lacto-ovo vegetarianism is pretty common)

"humans evolved to eat meat so they're actually herbivores" is the stupidest reasoning i've ever heard
we also evolved legs at some point, maybe we're not meant to walk with them

also i missed the whole herbivore thing but that is absolutely false; we evolved to be omnivorous to take advantage of the unique nutrients available from both plants and animals, but meat provides significantly more energy, which was a necessary development to pave the way for more complex, power-hungry brains. cooking isn't a loophole in our diets, it's a tactic we developed to unlock nutrients in our food and become more successful as a species. contending that we are 'biologically herbivores' is simply false; plants do not conveniently provide all the proteins we need for survival (in the wild at least, modern economic and technological developments make vegetarian and vegan diets much more viable)

(disclaimer here being that i'm not qualified to talk about biology, but i know enough to understand that the idea that we're meant to be herbivores is asinine)

50% of the forum in a nutshell

we also evolved legs at some point, maybe we're not meant to walk with them
we didnt evolve the ability to digest meat. that's why we cook it you dingus

i know exactly what i'm talking about. we're anatomically herbivore but use technology (fire) to cook our food and maintain an omnivore diet. either way we're still herbivores on the inside, since we lack the necessary organs to properly digest meat without cooking it.

we didnt evolve the ability to digest meat.

look dude just cause you get bad head once don't mean the entire human race is devolved

humans can digest raw meat, but there are more nutrients when it's cooked, you dingus

im sorry, i'm still traumatized by it. there was a little bit too much canine

raw meat literally decomposes in your intestines. we can't digest raw meat.

so what ur saying is that humans must live in their primal state

no i'm saying our bodies are better suited for a herbivore diet than carnivore. omnivore still works but biologically it's not meant to be that way
