Yes. Let's funnel hard earned taxpayer money into a business that is perfectly self sufficient on its own while the public schools enjoy the luxury of decreased funding and failing school programs

...where's the incentive here? its just a straight cut?? are they supposed to expect more funding if they do better with less? even if somehow public schools do better post-cut, any politician with limiting budgets in mind would just think "well they're doing so well now theres no need to give them more funding"
School spending does not correlate at all with student achievement. In fact often it's the opposite, the highest spending schools have the lowest achievement. This sounds like a good cut of bad spending.
