Author Topic: Torque constructor fails at exporting DIF's  (Read 2070 times)

I am making a map, when using torque exporter,i press export to DIF and a while when its exporting a "map2dif plus has crashed, we are sorry for the inconvenience" and i get no DIF
Any solution to this?

No idea. I am having a problem kinda like this.... except it says its missing some textures.

Make sure your map doesn't have any errors such as clipping. Torque doesn't seem to like that when exporting a dif.
Also, if your map is really big, try exporting it in pieces and then putting it all together in the mission editor.

You'll need to make sure you have the latest version of Torque Constructor otherwise your game will crash if you drive a vehicle on it.

Who just bumped?

Hi all I have a few soloutions to those using Torque Constructor.

If you find your model isnt exporting properly or you are getting no collision or sometimes missing faces thiis is probably because your using version 1.0.3
dont worry this is easily solved.

simply go to preferences and deactivate the remove hidden faces function.

make sure when you build a model brushes do not overlap each other.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about Constructor check out my website.

always make sure your brushes are convex if you make concave brushes this can also cause you a problem exporting.

Constructor does not support concave models.

another thing is do not go into too much detail with constructor its a basic walls floor roof carry on you can do more if you are good at using it but to be honest DTS programs are better for fine detailing your .dif model as you can interact with dts objects.

anyway if you want any help becoming a Computer games Developer we are currently looking for applicants.

Hope this info helps atleast someone, thanks for reading.
