Author Topic: best MP3 player to buy?  (Read 775 times)

so i'm thinking about saving up some money to get a decent MP3 player, as i'm sorta tired of using my phone's space for music.

i'm interested in a ipod classic 5g with 30GB of space, but i don't know if there's anything more affordable and better out there.

so, BLF, do you guys have a good MP3 player i might be interested in? let me know and i'll take a look and consider it. mentioning any nice features would be cool too.

does your phone lack an expandable memory slot?

see now that i can't agree on

buy a $50 android phone and put it in airplane mode for a cheap ipod

i'm looking for something where the system OS and other things do not take up almost 10-25% of the system, and also something where it doesn't have network access in the first place (for tests at school n' other stuff)

another pretty major reason i desire an ipod classic is for rockbox, a custom firmware that lets you use plugins to be able to load tracker files (.xm, .it, .s3m, etc.) or video game music files (.spc, .nsf, .vgm/vgz, etc.)

i know a sansa clip supports it, but so does this. if there are good ones that have support for rockbox, mention that because that'd be super
