Author Topic: [REAL NEWS] Annoying Orange signs cutback on carbon regulations  (Read 8433 times)

Coal's a dying industry, regardless of what Annoying Orange wants. Hopefully we can still continue to push for cleaner energy despite his actions.

I really don't think this is a big of a deal as you all are making it out to be.

keep in mind cord already made it clear that he doesn't care about any future existing in a time where his kids aren't alive and affected

As a energy managment major I don't really understand why coal power is so interesting to these companys. Air, oil and natural gas are far more profitable.

I really don't think this is a big of a deal as you all are making it out to be.
I mean, you don't accept climate change, so your opinion doesn't really matter. This is the same reason why we don't consult flat-earthers for advice on space travel.

Parts of china became lung cancer zones due to coal burning and high carbon emissions

if you remove the regulation on carbon emissions then nothing is stopping companies from going all out. it's morals vs money and obviously those companies will choose money at the expense of the health of american people

it's not a big deal if you support killing the environment and making the earth uninhabitable in the next 400 years

This is why I don't think it's a big deal. Plus, I think they effects are largely overstated.

Based on what? You're saying something that's contrary to like, effectively all the research on the health effects of coal burning power plants. Normally, you'd have to publish a stuffload of ground-breaking papers to disprove something like that, but I really want to hear how you've concluded the effects are 'overstated'.

Plus, I think they effects are largely overstated.
I think it was either Ike, ipquarx or seventh that linked an interactive graph of what was contributing to climate change, and of all the possible factors, carbon dioxide emissions was the only correlation that could be found.

if you honestly believe that the effects are not as bad as they seem, take a look at a similar country that pulled the same stuff

If you think that level of disaster was caused because of coal carbon pollution I don't really know what to say to you.

He's a troll, just ignore tbh

Just because someone doesn't agree with a mainstream view doesn't mean they're a troll.

You know, I bought a gas mask to have something to hang on my wall. I never thought it'd become day-to-day wear.

Let me get this straight. The huge clouds of smog descending on Chinese cities - the same cities that happen to have literally hundreds of powerplants and factories powered by coal, a fuel that releases smog when burned - is not actually coming from the coal?

Do you think China is just a magical place where smog seeps out of the ground for some reason?

Then you don't know what to say to me, because it was.

its alright you don't have to admit you're wrong, you can stay silent if that makes you feel comfortable

No I think it's a multitude of different polluting agents and chemical waste. I don't believe it all comes from coal.
