most vegan foods are harvested by slave labor in 3rd world countries so it's just as unethical as eating meat, if not more
i'm

i'm not sure that's entirely true

like there are definitely many foods that are made with slave labor but 'most vegan foods' does not fit that bill lol

nestle/hershey for example

vegans support slave labor
of course, it all comes together...vegans are slowly taking over the world

a lot of agriculture is unethically harvested, vegan food is not safe from that

also
-snip-
the only thing in that article that could be eaten by vegans are tomatoes from trader joes in Immokalee, FL (boycott that one trader joes) and palm oil, which is already notorious for being unethically cultivated

there's no exhaustive list of every food item produced by slave labor, but here's a few more

soy is a big one

i mean yeah slavery and forced labor are horrible, unethical things

however i personally find the treatment of animals in america's meat and animal product industry to be worse than the treatment of these workers

call me whatever stuff you want but i'm a vegetarian for this reason

well yeah it doesnt really make a difference because in all seriousness there are not many ways to ethically consume/buy products in america/the world i guess

i just go for free-range and wild-caught/hunted meat. the taste and nutritional content are both better anyways. worth a few extra bucks to me

oh man, my uncle owns a farm and we get all the vegetables from there

stuffs great yo, too bad we can't take meat across the border (he lives in the us) or we would have amazing bacon

Vegans could still feasibly eat fruit ethically, because fruit is designed to be eaten in order to spread the seeds of the host.

Good luck with nutrients tho

If I only eat things that can feel pain does that make me a sadisvore
