You have a jaded and misinformed perspective on the average college kid. There are plenty of people who attend UCB on FAFSA and scholarships, meaning they worked hard to get where they are. This is just classic neo-con anti-intellectualism whereby you put everyone more smarter and successful than you into a box, where they're all a bunch of entitled kids who never tried hard to get where they are in life.
Having the moral integrity to not be a dead-beat to your offspring is the bare minimum integrity required of someone who has children. Other people never had kids to begin with so that they could go to college. You are not entitled to stuff on their accomplishments just because your life took a dramatic tangent.

Your assumptions continue to astound. If theira student at Berkeley and have the time and motivation to protest over loving tax returns their more than likely not taking a hard course load or running on daddy money and don't have to give a stuff about anything important. It's not some anti-intellectual bullstuff like you love to throw around. It's a dude who's gone to college, has a job, has bills to pay, and has people to take care of. My world view matters just as much as yours or theirs.
