Graves are not being moved to museums

Also I'm pretty sure we honor George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson etc, all of whom owned slaves. Learn to think for yourself instead of letting liberal historians shove their own agenda down your throat.
Of course the graves aren't being moved to museums, they aren't being moved.

George Washington released his slaves when he died. Jefferson planned to, but didn't. Andrew Jackson isn't in the same category as those two.
You seem to be on a crusade against windmills, because I have never heard of these liberal historians you keep referring to, nor of their agenda. It was traditionally the conservatives who pushed an agenda about the civil war, anyway.

1. im talking about the statues, obviously
2. now youre just coming at me about something completely unrelated and that i never even addressed lmao. i dont honor or protect any of those dudes legacies either, if they wanted to take GW face off the dollar bill, i wouldnt care at all. take a couple steps back

Reminder that confederates were instructed to execute all black enemy soldiers summarily without any chance of a trial, while white enemy soldiers were kept as POWs

The answer is forget about it

no i just didnt understand what you're saying. are you saying "we should forget about it"

The answer is forget about it
clearly removing a few public monuments dedicated to the confederate cause is tantamount to destroying civil war museums and obfuscating facts in history books and destroying anything else that educates us about the civil war

???

i'm assuming based on your only other post in the thread from a few pages back that you don't want the monuments to be torn down. nobody else seems to be quite sure what you're saying by "the answer is to forget about it" either so i suggest you elaborate what you actually mean. additionally everyone else in the thread seems to be arguing that liberals want us to forget about history so i'm assuming that you meant the same thing

Nobody has argued this

Nobody has argued this

unless 'nobody' is an insult at these three people

Nobody has argued this

Now there's a blanket statement for you. I think the fact that he was offered a position in Union command shows the respect that the North had for him and that he is hardly the terrible, villainous person modern day liberal historians would have you believe.
you can finagle around the definition of "forget" but selling your own brand of history implies the attempted erasure of others
